The Whitsunday Islands are a tropical paradise, with beautiful white sands, secluded beaches and stunning sailing, diving and snorkelling. It’s a fantastic way to explore the Great Barrier Reef.
Edinburgh and Loch Ness
Edinburgh is beautiful. We only made one key mistake – we didn’t stay long enough. A trip to Loch Ness does take a whole day.
Skiing at Whistler
This was the big end-of-school trip for the boys (and a treat for me). Canada has real mountains, and huge ski runs. Just go.
Yukon Snowmobiles
Exhilaration on a frozen river. Stunning scenery, fantastic adventure. Definitely a bucket list item.

Northern Lights
Twitter said it would be the 20-year peak. Seeing the Northern Lights from Whitehorse in Canada was simply unbeatable.
Yukon Wildlife Preserve
Nature at its best. This was one of my favourite experiences in the Yukon. A huge, sprawling snow zoo.

Beautiful Banff – hot springs and cold mountains.
